Megan Leigh, Founder
Megan departed from a decade-long NYC career in hospitality real estate development to put down roots in the Catskills as a small business owner and nature lover in 2017. Spearheading a handful of farmhouse and barn renovations, she has turned once vacant buildings into thriving vacation rentals and handles the marketing, management and operation of the properties once they are up and running.
Megan has a deep understanding of the needs of city clientele and the demands of country living. She offers city work standards coupled with the integrity of a small town community member who knows that relationships matter.
Experienced in the development and operation of multiple Catskills rental properties, Megan specializes in short-term rental and property management for absentee owners. She delivers “turnkey” Airbnb services, from design recommendations and renovation oversight to listing creation and website development, and handles all the demands of hosting, managing, and maintaining vacation rentals on the owner’s behalf.
Matthew Barkalow, Forester
Matthew is Delaware County native whose commitment to and love of the Catskills runs deep. He has worked in the forest products industry since 2009 for one of the largest sawmills in New York State and Pennsylvania, with a predominant focus on sustainability and forest health.
Specializing in woodlot assessments, boundary line maintenance and posting, timber appraisals, timber sale administration, timber stand improvement (TSI), and wildlife habitat improvement, Matthew works closely with owners to identify property objectives, providing recommendations on how to achieve goals and the labor to get it done. He has a hands-on approach to all his projects and a reputation for being one of the most honest and hard-working foresters in the area.
Matthew’s direct forestry knowledge and extensive industry contacts enables us to execute on the wide range of forestry, ground maintenance and site work that this area requires, from ditch digging and driveway building to improving one’s own personal forest.
